Who we are

Jolly Heating & Cooling is run by brothers Thomas and Jason Lee, out of Richmond, BC. We install heating, cooling and hot water systems for homeowners across Metro Vancouver.

We started Jolly because too many homeowners were being handed a number and very little else: systems sized by guesswork, quotes that changed on installation day, and contractors who stopped answering once the cheque cleared. We wanted to run the kind of company we'd want working on our own homes.

We give estimates in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, so the explanation you get is a real one rather than whatever survives a language barrier. And we publish our starting prices, because you should be able to work out roughly where you stand before anyone sets foot in your home.

What makes us different

Three things we do that shape how an installation actually goes.

Post-install checkup
Once your system is running, we follow up to make sure it works the way it should: a phone check-in for most installations, and a return visit for larger or more complex systems. Anything that needs adjusting gets caught early.
Up to 12 years of labour coverage
Most systems come with 3 years of labour coverage as standard, and you can extend it to up to 12 years in total as a paid upgrade when you accept your quote. Labour warranties transfer to the new owner if you sell your home.
Annual maintenance by Jolly Heating & Cooling is required to keep any labour warranty valid, whatever its term.
Sizing to your home
Good equipment still underperforms if it’s the wrong size for your home. When you’re switching system types, say a furnace to a heat pump, an independent energy advisor does a heat load report so the new system is sized to your home. We arrange the report, and it shows as its own line on your invoice. Going like-for-like, such as furnace to furnace, we size from how your current system performs, plus experience.
