部分素里舊屋建於混凝土地台（Slab）上，並使用下送風暖爐（Downflow Furnace），把暖風向下推進澆築在地台內的風管（Ducts）。這些風管一旦破裂，沙和水便可能逐漸滲入。
據我們所知，本地沒有能修復這個問題的服務。您可以接受現狀，並更頻密地更換濾網；或改用無風管分體式冷暖機（Ductless Mini Split），不再依賴地台風管。如您的房屋有地面出風口而沒有地庫，請在上門估價時讓我們檢查這一點。

素里是卑詩省少數自行簽發電力許可證的城市之一。市政府的熱泵網頁指出，每項熱泵安裝都需要電力許可證，並須附上電力負荷計算。煤氣許可證仍由 Technical Safety BC 簽發，所以雙燃料系統（Dual Fuel）兩種許可證都需要。

比溫哥華冷的設計溫度
設計溫度（Design Temperature）是指系統在設計上需要應付的最低氣溫。卑詩省建築規範（BC Building Code）的氣候表把素里定為 -8°C，比溫哥華和列治文（Richmond）冷一度。我們會以素里本身的數字為起點，而不是套用一般的大溫地區數字，按您房屋的熱負荷計算系統容量。
