本拿比（Burnaby）住宅暖氣及冷氣
在本拿比安裝熱泵（Heat Pump），所需的文件比大多數城市多。以下是市政府的要求，以及這對您的安裝工程有甚麼影響。
本拿比的熱泵許可證
本拿比是卑詩省少數自行簽發煤氣及電力許可證（Permit）的城市之一，而不是交由 Technical Safety BC 負責。安裝熱泵時，本拿比的要求也比大多數城市多。
市政府的熱泵改裝指南要求申請許可證時一併遞交設計文件，內容包括：按 CSA F280（加拿大用來計算房屋需要多少熱量的標準）進行的熱損失計算（Heat Loss Calculation）、電力負荷計算、標示室外機位置的平面圖，以及熱泵不足以單獨供暖時的室外溫度。設計必須由 TECA 認證的設計師（TECA 是卑詩省的冷暖行業協會）或工程師負責。
所以在本拿比，即使在其他城市不需要，熱泵工程也會附帶熱損失計算。我們會在上門估價時，向您解釋這對您的房屋涉及哪些工作。
擺放位置及噪音
同一份指南亦規定了室外機可以放在哪裡。室外機須放在房屋旁邊的地面上，位於您所屬分區（Zoning）規定的前院及側院最小退縮距離以外，不可位於任何通往門口的通道上，冷凝水亦須排離行人通道。如要安裝在牆上或屋頂上，則需要申請建築許可證，並附上工程師繪製的圖則。
本拿比的噪音附例（Noise Bylaw）規定，早上 7 時至晚上 10 時的持續噪音上限為 55 dBA，夜間為 45 dBA。市政府建議選用額定噪音不超過 60 dBA 的機組，擺放位置要遠離鄰居的門窗；如圍欄和牆壁不足以隔音，則需另加隔音處理。
本拿比山（Burnaby Mountain）與設計溫度
設計溫度（Design Temperature）是指暖氣系統在設計上需要應付的最低氣溫。本拿比的氣候數據指南按現行卑詩省建築規範（BC Building Code），把全市的設計溫度定為 -7°C，包括海拔 330 米的西門菲莎大學（SFU）一帶。這與溫哥華（Vancouver）相同，所以住在山上本身並不代表需要容量更大的系統。
